Land record officer trapped in bribery case
An assistant superindent in land record department was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 for re-surveying land of the complainant in Dindori taluka of the district today.
The complainant had submitted an application for immediate re-survey of his land. For which, assistant superintendent Dilip Kachru Kakad had demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000, sources in ACB said.
Reluctant to pay the bribe amount, complainant approached the ACB, whose team laid a trap and caught Kakad red-handed while accepting the bribe at the land record office in Dindori, sources added.
