MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre today said that the party has issued show-cause notices to two legislators, Vijay Sawant of Sindhudurg and Ramprasad Bordikar from Parbhani, for allegedly indulging in anti-party activities.

MLC Sawant was issued a notice for criticising senior Congress leader and state industries minister Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh at a press conference, while MLA Bordikar was issued a notice after ally NCP complained that he was not helping their candidate Vijay Bhamble in Parbhani constituency, Mr Thakre said while talking to reporters here this evening.

MPCC chief also said that the party will take action in two days if both the legislators fail to provide a valid reason over their anti-party activity.

When his reaction was sought over the anti-women remarks by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and party's state chief Abu Azmi, Mr Thakre said that their remarks were very very shocking.

He demanded that both of them should withdraw their absurd comments and apologize to the entire nation.
