Nearly 60 per cent of around 1.22 crore electorate cast their votes in 10 Lok Sabha seats in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

According to election officials, an estimated 60 per cent voting was registered in 10 LS seats of Vidargha region in Eastern Maharashtra at the close of polling here.

Fifty-five per cent and 62 per cent voters cast their votes in Nagpur and Ramtek constituencies, respectively.

In Wardha constituncy, 61 per cent voting was registered.

While, in remaining seven constituencies, polling percentage at close were as such Bhandara-Gondia around 61 pc, Amravati and Akola 65 pc each, Gadchiroli-Chimur 68 pc, Yavatmal-Washim 60 pc, Buldhana 59 pc and Chandrapur 65 pc.

The final figure of voting IN Vidarbha are expected late night, sources added.
