Jaitley corner Capt Amarinder Singh on Subramaniam Swamy's allegations
Senior BJP leader and SAD-BJP candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Arun Jaitley today said that Captain Amarinder Singh always misses capacity for logical debates and always he is in case of aggression without substance.
Addressing a news conference in BJP Media Center here, the BJP leader asked him to clear the air about the allegations made by Mr Subramaniam Swamy on foreign bank accounts of Captain's family.
He said that Swami's allegations are not vague in nature, he has given details of the trust of which there are Indian beneficiaries even he also gave account number, and mentioned about Gorgy Island where the bank is located.
He expressed surprise as to why Maharaja's family concealed facts about the bank accounts in the tax heaven. Mere denials by Captain in strong words do not end the matter. if so, a case can be filed under Money Laundering Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, Income Tax Act and F C R Act.
He alleged that issues which pinch Captain he reacts with aggression rather to give a proper answer about that allegations.
Mr Jaitly said "If I would have been there I would have certainly submitted a affidavit to the government that I have never opened any account in the world if it is proved false then forfeit the said property."
On the issue of property tax, he alleged that it was Captain's Government which signed MoU with Central Government under JNURM. He also called Captain the Chief Villon of Property Tax in Punjab and said that it is not so then captain dare to prove my fact wrong.
