The Nashik road central jail administration suspended its havaldar Vijay Deshmukh as he allegedly responsible for a prisoner fleeing away from prison.


Prisoner Mangalsingh Bhosale was serving life imprisonment in the jail here fled away on April 6.

According to police sources, 32-year-old Bhosale, a resident in Gangapur tehsil of Aurangabad district, was convicted for the murder of his wife in Jalgaon after which the police booked a case against him. The Jalgoan court awarded him life imprisonment, police said.

In December 2012, he was shifted to Nashik jail from the Jalgaon jail.

As daily routine that jail administration brought all the prisoners out of their barracks, the jail employees found that Bhosale was missing.

Police and Jail authorities made an inquiry with the staff on duty.

Police teams have already been sent to Aurgangabd and
Jalgaon to search Bhosale.
