Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today made a mockery of the BJP manifesto saying it was virtually on the same lines as that of the Congress since they do not have anything new to talk about while contesting the general elections.

'The BJP is under the total dictatorship of BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi,' he alleged while addressing a news conference here.

It has released the manifesto as a mere formality, he observed.

He also alleged that there is a 'secret pact' between BJP and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and said the BJP was merely 'showing' concern towards its over two-decade- old ally Shiv Sena.

Commenting on the intoduction of NOTA (none of the above) system in EVMs this time,Mr Chavan said, 'If in any constituency, 50 per cent voters opt for NOTA, then the election for that particular constituency should be terminated and the candidates of that constituency should be banned for the next few elections. Only then will NOTA be fully effective, unlike now.'

Maharashtra goes to polls on April 10, 17 and 24.
