Modi to file nomination from Vadodara tomorrow
Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will file his nomination papers from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat tomorrow.
According to Saurabh Patel, in-charge Vadodara constituency, Mr Modi will file his nomination papers at 1100 hrs.
Shubhangini Raje Gaikwad, the Rajmata of erstwhile Royal family will be present as supporter when the Gujarat Chief Minister files his nomination papers.
Kiran Mahida, a tea shop owner, will also be present as supporter during Mr Modi's nomination filing process.
Before the filing of nomination, the BJP's PM candidate will hold a road show in the city which will start from Kirtistambha and reach at Collector's office.
Apart from Ms Gaikwad and tea shop owner Kiran Mahida, who has a tea shop near Vadodara Municipal Corporation office, Neelaben Desai, widow of former BJP leader Makrand Desai will also remain present as a supporter.
Sitting party MP from Vadodara Balkrishna Shukla will file nomination papers as a dummy candidate for Mr Modi.
State BJP president R C Faldu, senior party leader Parshottam Rupala and other ministers and leaders will remain present at the office of the returning officer.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made for Mr Modi's visit to Vadodara tomorrow in view of intelligence outputs regarding the possible terrorist attacks on Mr Modi's road show.
Besides Vadodara, Mr Modi is also contesting from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
Tomorrow is the last date for filing nominations in Gujarat which will go to polling on April 30 for 26 Lok Sabha seats in the BJP-ruled state.
