International crude oil price of Indian basket went up to 104.23 dollars per barrel (bbl) on April 4.

It was higher than the price of 102.47 dollars per bbl on previous trading day of April 3, according to a release issued here today by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

In rupee terms also, the price of Indian basket increased to
Rs 6,287.15 per bbl on April 4 as compared to Rs 6,160.50 per bbl on April 3. ''This was due to increase in price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation,'' the release said.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 60.32 per dollar on April 4 as against Rs 60.12 per dollar on April 3.
