Four teenagers drowned in a lake at Harsul, situated on the outskirts of the city, today.

A group of teenagers (in age group of 15 and 17 years) had gone to swimming in the Harsul lake this morning. They entered the water and probably got stuck in the silt, police said.

The incident came to light only after the watchmen noticed their clothes and motorcycles on the shore of the lake and they informed the police control room about it.

A team of Begampura police along with a fire brigade personnel, rushed to the spot and fished out three bodies. One more body is yet to be recovered, sources said.

The deceased were identified as Syed Juniad, Syed Zabi-ullah Yusuf and Osma. The identity of fourth victim is yet to be ascertained by the police.

They were all residents of Buddi lane locality in old city area and students of Burani National School, sources added.

The Harsul lake supplies water to the old city locality of Aurangabad.
