Bikram Majithia betrayed his cowardice: Laali Majithia
Congress leader Laali Majithia today said that the Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia was betraying his cowardice by hiring people and stage-managing protests against the senior Congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh.
Reacting to the incident of a few people waiving black flags as Capt Singh's vehicle passed through Abdaal village in Majitha Assembly segment, Mr Laali said it was typical of his (Bikram's) cowardice to use others for his own purpose.
He wondered as how Baba Ram Singh had become a criminal after resigning from the Akali Dal and joining the Congress. He pointed out that as long as he was with Mr Bikram, Baba Ram Singh was alright and now after he joined Congress, he is made to be a criminal.
Mr Laali said, if the Akalis had any courage they should better have openly protested against Capt Singh not hired some innocent people.
"No wonder the pressnote on the issue was neatly and cleanly written by the propaganda team of Mr Bikram and released anonymously", he remarked and added, "if this be the way, we will respond to seven black flags with 700".
He said he will complain to the Election Commission against the police officials, including the DSP and the local SHOP present on the duty, who were helping the fake protestors to block Capt Singh's way.
Mr Laali also appealed to the media to verify the credentials of people issuing pressnotes anonymously.
The state will go to polls in single phase on April 30.
