Anonymous posters against AAP in Ahmedabad
Denizens of the city woke up this morning to find posters comparing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal with jailed godman Asaram in several areas of the city.
The posters, attacking AAP and Mr Kejriwal, were found near Sardar Patel Stadium cricle in Navrangpura, Ankur crossroads in Naranpura and Vastrapur by people this morning.
One of the poster compared Mr Kejriwal with Asaram, claiming the way the latter misled the 'bhaktas' (devotees) on the name of god,AAP was misleading 'deshbhaktas' (patriots).
Another poster read, 'AAP mission 2014, Stop Modi to get 272+','Unstable government of India'.
One poster alleged that AAP was betraying. 'AAP Ka Dhokha, Sachchai ki ladai ladni thi to Anna ka sath kyon chhoda? (if you wanted to fight for the truth, then why deserted Anna?).
Reacting to the posters, Sukhdev Patel, AAP Gujarat convenor, told mediapersons here that today's electoral politics is not fought on the issues as the political parties don't have the issues.
They just want to win elections by hoodwinking the people. About posters,he said any of the political parties could be behind the act.
He said few weeks ago, some posters were came up in the city in the name of Hindu Mahasabha which had accused AAP of being anti-hindu,
'Problem is, police did not take appropriate action at that time, hence such elements have become more audacious. We expect police to undertake a detailed probe in the matter and take suitable action,' he added.
