Congress removes posters of its candidate against Modi
Many poll posters of Congress candidate on Vadodara Lok Sabha constituency Madhusudan Mistry, who is challenging Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, were removed by the party's own publicity agency here today.
Vadodara District Congress President Narendra Rawat said that many of the posters were removed by the advertising agency thinking that the expenses incurred on posters would be debited to Mr Mistry's account by the Election Commission.
In response to another question, he said that no programme has been finalised yet for Priyanka Gandhi's visit to Vadodara.
Interestingly, a day ago, Mr Mistry, who is considered very close to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, had climed a poll to remove Mr Modi's poster to protest the 'unequal allotment' of space in Vadodara city.
He was arrested along with his supporters by the police in the poster war'.
Vadodara will go for polls on April 30.
