Rich tributes paid to founder of RSS Dr Hedgewar
Rich tributes were paid to Dr Hedgewar, founder of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS), at a function held at the Thane Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya, here last night in which hundreds of activists of the Sangh and citizens of the city were present.
On this occasion, a commerative volume on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of the great leader of the country was released.
The volume entitled Yuga Pravartak Dr.Hedgewar is brought out by Sanskritik Vartapatra a Marathi periodical. The volume was released by the Editor of Vartapatra Srirang Godbole and a prominent historian Dawood Dalvi.
In his speech Dr Godbole gave insight into the contents of the volume and said the volume contained many unknown facts and pictures of the great man, who moulded the citizens of the country.
The volume gives in details the names of all those who were connected and called by nick names, such as Tatya, Anna, Appa.
In his speech as a special guest, Dr Dalvi praised the work done by the members of RSS.
He said the teachings of this great man who has a lions share in the formation of the nation should be followed by word and spirit by one and all "Then only we can call it a real tribute to him. We should not differentiate between Hindus, Muslims and Christians in the country, " he added.
Dr Dalvi also appealed to people to spread the message of Dr Hedgewar of unity in the country.
