Three youth arrested in theft case
The MIDC Cidco police have booked three youths today for allegedly robbing a youth around 15 days ago.
The police have also been successful in recovering a motorcycle from them.
The police said that Vitthal Rodgule (24), a resident of Adgaon budruk had complained that three unidentified people had confronted him near Cambridge school, located on Jalna road around 15 days before alleging that he was robbed.
"Rodgule had alleged that the unidentified people had robbed him during late hours around 2030 hrs of his motorbike worth Rs 25,000,cash of Rs 1,000 and his mobile handset," the police said.
The area being secluded and less traffic flow made it easy for them to grab hold of the victim who was commuting alone.
The police today morning nabbed Amol Singh Mathur (25) who hails from Allahbad, Badrinath Basra Aglave (28) who belongs to Gevrai taluka in Beed district and Amol Balasaheb Jadhav (29) resident of Varud Kazi area in the city.
The police also said the vehicle has been recovered after the three accused confessed the crime and the officials heading investigations are in the process of gathering additional information about other such thefts that they might have indulged in.
The police are still in the process of procuring mobile device and cash from the accused.
