Bengal maintained an all win records in the Syed Mustaq Ali T20 cricket for East Zone as they beat Odisha by nine runs in the last match and Jharkhand ousted Assam by eight wickets here today to sail through for final rounds.

Eyeing for a silverware in the 2013-14 season last national tournament Bengal scripted four consecutive win when they beat Odisha by nine runs and ended the visitors dreams for a qualification for finals.

Batting first Bengal made 121 for loss 7 wickets with Vivek Singh's highest 38, followed by Arnab Nandy 29 and Manoj Tiwary 22 and then bowled out Odisha 112/9.

Needed 122 run to win for a qualification for national championship in Mumbai and Rajkot, only three batsmen from Odisha did a bit but that was not enough to beat the hosts.

While Govinda Poddar made highest 39, Paresh Patel (17) and Aravind Singh (10), all others went out within single digit.

Arnab Nandy, Sanjeeb Sanyal, Pritam Chakraborty and Aamir Gani shared two wickts each conceding 7,14,26 and 26 runs respectively.

Jharkhad performed well when the situation demanded as the Sourabh Tiwary's side needed to win Assam's 127/8 within 18 overs. But they did it with 22 balls remaining and sailed through for the title rounds next week.

Assam batted first and made 127/8 with Parvez Aziz 24 and wicket-keeper Rajdeep Das 20 as Jharkhand left armed slower Sarfaraz Ashraf took three wickets in 22 runs.

Jharkhand's opener made Ishan Kishan made 48 with 35 balls with six boundaries and Sourabh Tiwary's 36 in 21 balls with two fours and two sixes, and Virat Singh's valuable 25 earned them a qualification birth among the five contesting teams.
