Thane rickshaw driver booked for molesting teenage daughter for 3 yrs
A 46-year-old rickshaw driver from the city has been booked on the alleged charges of molesting his teenage daughter since last three years, the city police said today.
WPSI Amruta Chowre of the Kapurbawdi police told this correspondent that the accused Vishwanath Mishra lived in Kolshet locality along with his wife and two daughters.
According to the complaint lodged yesterday by the 17-year-old girl, her father used to molest her whenever her younger sister had gone to school, and when her mother had gone out and she was alone at home, police said.
According to the complaint by the victim, her father used to force himself on her and when she resisted used to tell her that he was her father and she should not resist his act.
He also reportedly threatened her with dire consequences and warned that he would kill her if she revealed anything to anyone. This torture went on for three years and she was fed up and rushed to the police for protection and help.
The police have booked him under sections 354, and 354(a)(i)(ii) of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.
