Thane police hunt for man who forced wife into flesh trade
Thane city police have booked a 29-year-old person for allegedly forcing his wife into flesh trade as she did not get more dowry from her parents, police said today.
WPSI Sadhana Ingle of the Rabodi police station told reporters that the accused, Sameer (name changed) married one Kiran, 28, (name changed) way back in 2013.
The couple resided in the Castle Mill area of the city and initially some days after the marriage, everthing went on well.
Thereafer, the husband started demanding more dowry from his whife, which she could not fulfill.
Later, he started torturing her and also offered her cold drink laced with sedatives, and made outsiders rape her. Thus he used to force her into flesh trade, the complaint said.
He also filmed his wife in such a positions and threatened that if she failed to fullfil his demands he would post the videos on the social networks sites.
To earn money, he repeatedly forced her into flesh trade, the complaint said and added that this kind of torture went on unabated from July 2013 to March 18, 2014.
The Rabodi police have registered an offence under Sections 498-A, and 328 foteh IPC and Sections 3,4 and 5 of the PITA Act against the accused and a hunt is on for him, police added.
