Stop campaigning for father or quit party: BJP to Jaswant's son
The BJP today warned expelled party veteran Jaswant Singh's MLA son Manvendra Singh for either stop campaigning for his father in Lok Sabha polls in Barmer or resign from the party on moral grounds.
Addressing the media here, party state president Ashok Parnami said there are reports that the Sheo MLA is campaigning for his father.
However, junior Singh himself tried to refute the reports and the party also, so far, have no sufficient evidence to initiate disciplinary action against him, Mr Parnami said.
As soon as we get proper/evidence we would refer the MLAs case to the party disciplinary committee, the party president said adding that campaigning against the party official nominee tantamount to be anti-party activity and an act of indiscipline.
'If Manvendra Singh wants to campaign for his father-, who is contesting against the party nomine, he should resign from the BJP membership', Mr Parnami said.
Since former Union Minister Jaswant Singh's expulsion from the party last week for contesting the Barmer Lok Sabha seat as an Independent, move of disciplinary action against him appears to be inevitable.
