Congress and BJD betrayed people of Odisha: Modi
BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today accused both the Centre and the Naveen Patnaik-led government of betraying the people of Odisha over the years.
Addressing an election rally in this western part of Odisha going to poll in the first phase on April 10, Mr Modi said, "Now the time has come to change the government at the state and also at the Centre as they have done nothing during the last 15 years except betraying the people."
"You have been chosing them from last 10 to 15 years and they (both the centre and the BJD) have taken you for granted," he said and asked the youth to throw these people in state and center and give a chance to BJP candidate in state election and Parliament election also.
Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Mr Modi said the people in Mr Patnaik's assembly constituency are migrating to surat in search of work but "you people still electing him."
He said the state government had miserably failed in executing projects which could have provided work and raised the basic human living standard.
"Your government has failed to provide clean water, better sanitation and health facility, curb migration and provide better irrigation facility for the farmer but we will take steps so that more youth could get employment," Mr Modi said.
Mr Modi appealed to the people to support his party candidates and said "They failed to develop the country although they were in power for last 60 year now try me for 60 month.
"You send them as caretaker but they went on to become your boss, give me a chance and see I will work as your servant," the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate said and asked the people to cast their valuable votes in favour of BJP.
