The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined to 102.47 dollars per barrel (bbl) on April 3 as compared to 102.68 dollars per bbl on previous trading day, an official statement said today.


In rupee terms also, the price of Indian basket declined to Rs 6,160.50 per bbl on April 3 as compared to Rs 6,124.86 per bbl on April 2, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said.

This was due to decline in price in dollar terms and rupee appreciation. Rupee closed weaker at Rs 60.12 per dollar on April 3 as against Rs 59.65 per dollar on April 2, it said.

The international crude oil price of Indian basket is computed/published by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
