In a unique way of connecting to the masses, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee will send signed letters to most of the families in West Bengal, urging them to support her party's candidates in the Lok Sabha polls.

Claiming this, party sources said the letters, carrying Ms Banerjee's picture, would be drafted in six languages - Bengali, English, Hindi, Urdu, Santhali and Punjabi.

The content of the letters would be about the achievements of the AITC Government during its three-year rule in the state and the neglect of West Bengal by the Centre.

The letter would also point out that the state had progressed even amid financial constraints, the sources said.

It will have a mention, as Ms Banerjee often speaks at public meetings, about the 'secret understanding' among the Congress, BJP and the CPI(M) against the Trinamool Congress.

West Bengal goes to five-phase polls on April 17,24,30 and May 7 & 12.
