At least one person was killed while ten were injured when two groups clashed in Gujarat's Banaskantha district. The incident occurred late last night at Dabhela village under Amirgarh taluka near the Gujarat-Rajasthan border, police said today.

According to the police, a woman of the village entered into an altercation with her husband after which she called up her relatives in Wadvas village under Datiwada taluka.

About 200 people of that village came on trucks and clashed with the people of Dabhela village.

The deceased has been identified as Vajesinh Vaghela of Wadvas village.

Ten people were injured in the incident, out of whom one with serious injuries was referred to Mahesana for better treatment.

A heavy deployment of the police was put in place in the village as tension prevailed.

The police have rounded up about eight people in this connection.

Senior police officials also visited the village last night, while several junior police officials were camping at the village.
