Describing Congress as 'insensitive' towards people, BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said Congress-led UPA government under its pink revolution mission was promoting slaughter of cattle to export meat.

Addressing an electoral rally in favour of BJP candidate Giriraj Singh, Mr Modi dubbed the people as 'Bharat Ke Bhagya Vidhata' and exhorted them to bring a change in the country.

Referring to the green and white revolution, he said the Congress government was keen to bring a peculiar revolution, the Pink revolution under which it was promoting slaughter of cattle.

Drawing inspiration from the increasing export of meat which according to the projections of the Centre remained high during the last year, Mr Modi said it was great irony the Congress was giving subsidy for slaughter of cattle to promote export of meat whereas no subsidy was provided to the cotton growers in Gujarat where cotton is produced in large quantity.
