All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has written to ECI, saying Pawan Hans was discriminating in renting its helicopter service in respect of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the chairperson of the party.

AITC national general secretary Mukul Roy, in a letter to chief election commissioner V S Sampath, said the party chief was denied helicopter service on March 31 during the campaign for Lok Sabha polls to be held on April 17.

He said while Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi were provided Pawan Hans helicopter services in Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh on March 30 and April 1 respectively, Ms Banerjee was denied the facility on March 31.

Ms Banerjee had said she would look into the matter whether it was a technical snag of Pawan Hans or a conspiracy to deny her quick mode of transport.
