Mixed trend in metals
A mixed trend was witnessed in Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said. In Ferrous metals, Brass cuttings rose by Rs 100 per quintal on good demand from stockists.
Copper utensils and Aluminum utensils dropped by Rs 100 per quintal each due to sluggish demand from local dealers, traders said. In Non-ferrous metals, Aluminum ingot advanced by Rs 100 per quintal on lesser stocks supply from stockists. Tin slab and Nickel cathode increased by Rs 2 per kg each.
Copper wire bars slipped by Rs 100 per quintal on poor demand from stockists, they added. Ferrous Metals (per quintal): Copper heavy - Rs 48,200, Copper utensils - Rs 45,900, Brass utensils - Rs 34,900, Brass cuttings - Rs 36,200, and Aluminium utensils - Rs 12,600. Non-ferrous Metals (per quintal): Copper wire bars - Rs 51,500, Aluminium ingots - Rs 15,000, Zinc slabs - Rs 16,800, Lead ingots - Rs 14,300, Tin slabs - Rs 1,565 and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,063.
