Poll violence: NCP office board burnt
In the first poll-related incident, the office of the NCP in Thane city's Wagle Estate was ransacked today and the inmates beaten up allegedly by their Shiv Sena rivals police said.
According to police it was on Sunday night some miscreants burnt down the banner of the NCP office in Wagle estate situated in Ramchandra Nagar Pada No: 2.
The Vice-President of the NCP, Nilesh Sadhu had filed a complaint suspecting the local Shiv Sena activist Ravi and Macchi Hevoor behind the act.
The police arrested Hevoor in connection with the incident.
Later when Hevoor came out on bail he along with six to seven persons today raided the office of the NCP and attacked the inmates the police added.
The police said they had registered an offence under sections 143,147,323,149,452,506,427 and 385 of the IPC and no arrest has been made in this connection.
