Expressing that Gujarat has contributed a lot in the country's development, the BJP today accused the Congress of defaming the state.

BJP spokesperson I K Jadeja and party MP Mansukh Mandaviya said the BJP-ruled state has received about 200 awards by different agencies for development works under the leadership of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is also the party's prime ministerial candidate for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

They said different national and international agencies have lauded development works and good governance in the state during the last ten years.

The BJP leader expressed confidence that the people of the state will give their mandate in favour of the party on April 30, the voting date in Gujarat.

The duo said the state government has provided 24-hour power supply to the villages and have been connected with broadband.

Gujarat will go to single phase polling for 26 Lok Sabha seats on April 30.
