SER surpass 2013-14 revised target
South Eastern Railway has surpassed the revised target fixed by the Railway Board for 2013-14 financial year in freight and coaching operations.
The total freight loading achieved in 2013-14 has been 134.07 million tonnes, which was almost 10 mt more than what was achieved last year (124.61 mt), an increase of about (+) 8 per cent, SER today said.
"It is creditable that South Eastern Railway has surpassed not only the initial target of 130 million tonnes set by Railway Board but also surpassed the revised target of 134 million tonnes," the release stated.
As far as the coaching operations are concerned, the punctuality performance of South Eastern Railway for Mail/Express trains have improved from 88.76 per cent in 2012-13 to 92.44 per cent in 2013-14 an improvement of (+) 3.68 per cent.
