Rich tributes were paid to late Gajanan M Koli popularly known as (Ga Mo Koli) the Janasangh and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader of yesteryear on his birth centenary today.

On the occasion, almost all speakers came down heavily on the present day elected representatives who have polluted society with rampant corruption, complete mismanagement and criminalisation.

The function, organised by the GM Koli Pratishthan, marked the occasion by releasing a book written by Koli's son Vidhaydhar Thanekar, titled 'Rashtrabhimani' at the Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya, on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa last night.

The book comprises the life history of 52 great leaders of the country.

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ram Naik, who had been a close associate of Koli presided over the book release function.

Also present on the occasion were Dinoo Damle, a former Councillor of the earstwhile Thane Municipal Council, Veena Bhatia a senior BJP leader who also was a councilor, Shiv Sena

Deputy leader and three time Mayor of Thane Anant Tare, renown
author Sumedh Risbud Wadawala and prominent economic analyst and
Ex VP of NSDL Chandrashekar Tilak.
