Disgruntled Manchester United fans have reportedly revealed that the controversial flypast protest will prove that United boss David Moyes does not have the backing he claims.

Fans have reportedly arranged a flypast with the words 'Wrong One - Moyes Out' in seven-foot red lettering, which would be flown above Old Trafford before the club faces Aston Villa in an upcoming clash.

According to the BBC, protest organizer Wes Jones said that the rumblings of 'discontent' has started in the stands adding that the fans do not want to show that the support is not as 100 percent as Moyes thinks.

The flypast protest move has split opinion among the club supporters as some of them feel that the protest is pilling unnecessary humiliation on Moyes, who has endured a torrid debut campaign at Old Trafford.

However, for pilot Chris Mustow, who says that he is not a football fan, it is just a bit of fun as he will be responsible for flying the light plane trailing the banner, the report added.
