Consumer electronics and home appliances brand, Videocon recently appointed Sanjeev Bakshi as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the company.

In his new role, Bakshi will be responsible for establishing Videocon as a preferred brand for consumer, with major focus on product development and distribution expansion.

Bakshi graduated from the Institute of Management Studies in 1997, and brings with him an unparalleled experience in the consumer durable industry, with a career spanning nearly two decades.

For the last 17 years, he has worked with leading brands like LG, Philips, Godrej and Voltas.

In the course of his illustrious career, he has worked across various departments and verticals, including Product Planning, GTM, Service and Sales and Marketing, which has helped him gain an in-depth understanding into the consumer durable industry.

During his stint with Voltas, he was instrumental in taking the brand to the leadership position in the Air Conditioner segment.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Bakshi said, "I am very excited and thrilled to be a part of the Videocon team. Videocon has a legacy of 27 years and is a household name across the country. My immediate task is to focus on product development and expand the distribution. We want to make Videocon as preferred choice of consumers air conditioner segment."

At Videocon, Bakshi heads the AC division.

He is known to be a man of action, who follows a philosophy of punctuality and discipline. For the brand, he has ambitious plans rolled up his sleeves, including the creation of a distinct vertical to focus on this growing category.
