The duo of Richard White and Simran Sachdeva won the Delhi South Leg, the 12th and penultimate event of the Audi quattro Cup 2014 season and qualified for the National final.

In the qualifying round held at the Delhi Golf Course here on Monday, Richard and Simran combined to score 49 stableford points and pipped the duo of Pranav Verma and Bubbles Suneja to the second spot on a countback after both the teams posted an identical score.

The Delhi South leg of the multi-city event was hosted by Audi Delhi South in association with Turkish Airlines.

Ajay Madan and Rohit Bhasin finished third with a tally of 47 points.

A wild card entry was also picked during the prize presentation where the team of Ashok Wadhawan and Atul Lall emerged as the lucky winners.

However, they have to await the scores of 12 other teams to secure a National final berth.

The National final is to be played in Turkey while the World Finals will be held in Dubai.

Hosted by Audi Delhi South, the one-day event saw the City's leading corporate czars alomg with golfers from Delhi-NCR trying to earn the coveted place in the final. In the various skills competition held alongside the main event, Simran also won the "Longest Drive" prize and emerged as the proud winner of the Audi Experience where he gets to use a chauffeur-driven Audi A6 on the weekend.

Rohan Khanna won the 'Straightest Drive" award while Mukesh Thakur emerged as the winner in the "Closest to Pin" contest.

The Audi quattro Cup tournament series, established in 1991, has become one of the most celebrated amateur golf tournaments in the world bringing together over 85000 golfers from 54 countries.

The Indian circuit of Audi quattro Cup will visit 12 other cities making it a 13-leg series and would touch almost 1500 golfers in all.

The final leg of the India series will be held in Jaipur next month.
