Four suspected terrorists belonging to the banned outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) were arrested by the special cell of Delhi Police from two locations in Rajasthan on Saturday evening, officials said on Sunday.

"One of them, Waqas, is alleged to be the chief bomb-maker of the banned outfit and a close aide of its jailed co-founder Yasin Bhatkal," NDTV channel reported.

Waqas, a Pakistani national, is one of the most wanted men in connection with several blasts in the country, including the serial blasts in Mumbai in July 2011 that killed 27 persons and injured over 130.

Special commissioner of police (special cell) SN Shrivastava confirmed the arrests to media.

The men are being reportedly brought to Delhi on transit remand and investigations are underway.
