Amid media speculations that Jaswant Singh will file nomination papers as an independent candidate from Barmer constituency in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader confirmed that he will be visiting his home town on Monday.

"I a going to my ancestral home tomorrow and will be visiting my house and some temples there, " Singh told CNN-IBN channel.

On being denied a ticked by BJP to contest the Lok Sabha polls form Rajasthan's Barmer, Singh expressed his displeasure over the party's working style.

"The real BJP seems to be receding into the background and it's an encroachment on BJP's conceptual and territorial observance. The party is compromising with every aspect of it," he said.

He said the real BJP's principles have been encroached upon.

"They said that they couldn't adjust me, I found that insulting. I am not a piece of furniture to be adjusted," the senior leader told the channel.

Speaking over the support lent by BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, he said, "I am grateful to Sushmaji but she didn't have to say she's saddened. It's clear. It's also clear who is responsible for it."

Singh did not name anyone but held those who run the party to be responsible for the present situation. He said, "Who do I hold responsible for this? Surely those who run the party."

The BJP has denied the Barmer seat in Rajasthan to Jaswant Singh, who wanted to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the constituency.

The BJP, in its sixth list of candidates, has instead given the ticket to Colonel Sonaram Choudhary .

Singh had reportedly told the BJP leadership that he wanted to contest from the Barmer constituency in Rajasthan.

He has been fielded from Dahod in Gujarat.

The BJP on Friday released the sixth list of candidates.
