West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and said the 'NaMo' chant will turn to 'No' if the Centre 'takes away Rs.74,000 crore' from his Gujarat.

"Some people believe that there is no other state in the country except Gujarat. Gujarat has got lakhs of money for development," Banerjee said while addressing a rally in Nadia district in West Bengal.

"If Gujarat has made such tremendous development then I will like to see if the central government takes away Rs.74,000 crore from the state then whether there will be 'NaMo Namo' chant or it will become 'No No'," she said.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who will be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Vadodara and Varanasi seats, is popularly referred to as 'NaMo'.
