Mumbai gangrape: 4 given lifer
A Mumbai court on Friday sentenced four convicts to life imprisonment in the 2013 gangrape of a telecom operator at Shaki Mills here.
The hearing on the quantum of punishment to the convicts in the 2013 gangrape of a photojournalist was adjourned till Mar 24.
The court on Thursday convicted four people in the two gangrape cases that took place at the Shakti Mills compound here in 2013.
They were convicted of rape, conspiracy, common intention and unnatural sex.
A Mumbai photojournalist was gangraped by five men, including a minor, when she entered Shakti Mills on Aug 22, 2013 for a shoot as the assailants held back her colleague by tying him up.
A telephone operator was allegedly gangraped by the same four men earlier on July 21, 2013 at the Shakti Mills in Mumbai.
