World T20: India beat England
India finally returned to winning note by defeating England by 20 runs in a World T20 warm-up match here on Wednesday.
Chasing India's 178 for four, England managed to score only 158 for six in 20 overs.
England openers- Michael Lumb (36) and Alex Hales (16)-gave their side good start by contributing 43 runs.
But after Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India the first break through by bowling out Hales, the English batsmen lost momentum.
Moeen Ali top-scored for England with his 46.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets for India.
India earlier scored 178 for four in 20 overs.
India lost both the openers- Rohit Sharma (5) and Shikhar Dhawan (14)- within 4.3 overs as the scorecard read 30-2.
Virat Kohli's unbeaten 74 and Suresh Raina's 54 helped India recover from the position. Kohli smashed eight boundaries in his 48-ball knock. Both Raina and Kohli added 81 runs in the fourth wicket partnership.
MS Dhoni later joined the party and remained unbeaten on 21.
Ina World T20 Qualifier, Zimbabwe defeated Netherlands by five wickets.
Chasing Netherlands' 140 for five, Zimbabwe reached 146 by losing five wickets in 20 overs.
Brendan Taylor remained the top scorer for Zimbabwe for 49.
For Netherlands, Tom Cooper top scored with his unbeaten 72.
