Mickey Arthur signed to coach in Caribbean Premier League
Sacked former Australian coach Mickey Arthur will reportedly form an unlikely alliance with West Indies batting star Chris Gayle following his joining the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 tournament as a coach.
The South Africa-born Arthur, who was sacked following Australia's Ashes defeat in England last year, has been signed to coach in the Caribbean tournament where he will take charge of the Jamaica Tallawahs.
According to News.com.au, another former Australian coach Tim Nielsen will coach the Antigua Hawksbills side, and Nielsen said that he is excited to have the chance to coach talented cricketers in an unique atmosphere in the top-level tournament.
Last year's CPL, which featured former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, was billed as 'the Biggest Party in Sport' and played with typical Calypso flair, the report added.
