Chandigarh, Mar 18 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Tuesday protested against party candidate and actress Kirron Kher as she visited her constituency in Chandigarh.

According to reports, a section of party workers in the city are unhappy with her contesting the elections from Chandigarh on a BJP ticket.

On her arrival in the city to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Kirron Kher was shown black flags amid slogans of "Kirron Kher go back".

The Chandigarh Police arrested four BJP workers for allegedly throwing eggs at her.

Kirron Kher visited the city with her husband and actor Anupam Kher.

"Chandigarh is my home. I am the daughter of this city. I am 100 per cent confident of my win," said Kirron Kher.

"I am sure I will be able to persuade and win the hearts of all those who are protesting against me," she said.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher said: "Kirron has done a lot for the party. She is a strong Punjabi kudi (girl), she will overcome all obstacles."
