A minor fire broke out at senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley's roadshow in Amritsar on Tuesday.

According to reports, the fire generated from a cracker that burst in front of Jaitley's cavalcade. Two huge bunches of balloons were caught in the flames.

However, there have been no casualties or injuries so far.

More details are awaited.

Jaitley, who will be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar in Punjab, visited his constituency on Tuesday.

Pertinently, it was former cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu who used to hold the Amritsar seat for the BJP.
