The Glastonbury Festival has been granted a new 10-year license and has been allowed to have more staff on site.

Mendip District Council said that it has been confirmed without being "subjected to scrutiny in a public hearing" and added that there was no opposition to the decision, the BBC reported.

Dolly Parton, Blondie and Lily Allen are among the many artists who are set to perform at this year's festival, which starts on 25 June.
