IT and BPO solutions provider HTC Global services on Tuesday announced the launch of Export Data Interfacing Solution (EDIS) that enables banks to comply to the new EDPMS that was announced by RBI on Feb 28 in Mumbai.

EDIS is a cost effective solution as it is developed on open source platform. It is also a web based solution.

As a part of this announcement, the company has also announced its association with RBI in the development of Export Data Processing and Management System (EDPMS), an integrated computerized export data processing and monitoring system.

This new EDPMS developed by HTC, which was inaugurated by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, is now mandatory for all banks to conform to, without exception.

Speaking on the occasion, Chary Mudumby, Executive Vice President, HTC Global Services said, “HTC is proud to be associated with the RBI in the development of EDPMS. HTC has been working with RBI on various projects for several years now. HTC has vast experience in the BFSI segment with clients across the globe.”

“The experience gained through the development of EDPMS has helped HTC understand what is needed for the banks to adapt to the new system. HTC developed the Export Data Interfacing Solution (EDIS) that enables banks to comply to the regulations through efficient automation and unification of export data between RBI’s EDPMS and banks. He appreciated RBI for the initiative which streamlines the export transaction processing which includes declaration and reconciliation of exports leading to a faster realization. This product reduces the carbon foot print greatly making India greener!” he added.
