Shahnawaz Hussain calls Kejriwal an agent of Congress
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain, on Sunday said that the Congress mired in corruption was diverting attention of people from such issues and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal was helping the party.
Addressing a news conference in Nagpur, Hussain lashed out at Kejriwal, calling him an agent of the Congress.
"Congress party wants to distract people from issues of corruption and its agent Arvind Kejriwal is diverting the attention from scandals of Congress party as he keeps changing issues just for the sake of making news," said Hussain.
The BJP leader claimed that Kejriwal was full of himself.
"He praises himself a lot and claims that no one has done the kind of work he did during 49 days, if he was doing a good job, he should answer that how could he do well with the support of bad people," Hussain also said.
Meanwhile, Hussain also hit out at Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, over his remark accusing BJP's ideological parent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of killing Mahatma Gandhi.
"He (Rahul Gandhi) is surrounded by people who flatter him day and night, they brainwash him with so much flattery that he ends up saying anything. Before levelling baseless allegations, Rahul should consider that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is an organisation that loves this nation, and thousands of people work with no vested interests in this organisation for the welfare of this nation," said Hussain.
While addressing a rally on Friday, Gandhi had alleged that RSS people had killed Mahatma Gandhi in 1948.
In retaliation to the remark, RSS moved the Election Commission against Rahul Gandhi and urged the election panel to take action and restrain him from indulging in such malicious and false propaganda.
