BJP goons attacked my car: Sisodia
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Thursday alleged that his car was attacked by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Gujarat.
Sisodia is currently visiting Gujarat.
"Our car attacked by bjp goons in Himmatnagar (Sabarkantha)," the AAP leader tweeted.
"If BJP leaders think they can hide corruption in Gujarat by attacking my car, then they are underestimating the power of Aam Gujarati," he said.
AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said attackers smashed the window pane of Sisodia's car.
He urged his party workers should not 'react' against such attacks.
"Manish's car attacked just now. His window pane smashed.Aap vol, u shud not react at all or do any protests. Let them keep attacking us," Kejriwal tweeted.
The Delhi Police on Thursday said they have arrested 14 AAP workers, who were allegedly involved in the clashes outside the BJP headquarters here on Wednesday.
According to reports, the arrests were made after a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Parliament Street police station against the AAP workers for allegedly damaging public property and obstructing public servants from discharging their duties.
The FIR includes the names of AAP leaders like Ashutosh and Shazia Ilmi. However, they were not booked.
The Delhi Police said they will submit a report on the incident to the Election Commission on Thursday.
Hours after the Election Commission announced the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election on Wednesday, AAP and BJP workers clashed with each other in several parts of the country including Delhi, Lucknow and Gujarat, reports said.
The clashes intensified when the news of the detention of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat reached his party workers.
