Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who had resigned from the Congress party over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday announced the formation of a new party.


He said he will launch the party to safeguard the pride of Telugu people.

A day after the controversial Telangana Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Feb 19 resigned from his chair as a mark of protest.

"I'm resigning for failing to fulfill my duties," Reddy had said.
