BSF rescues Bangladeshi girl from human traffickers

Kolkata, Mar 6 : The Border Security Force (BSF) patrol party on Tuesday rescued a Bangladeshi teenage girl from the clutches of immoral Bangladeshi human traffickers, here.
According to official reports, the BSF troops on duty in the area of BOP Gunarmath 40 BN BSF, under PS Bangaon Dist 24 North PGs displayed a remarkable sense of intelligence and professional acumen when the patrol party rescued one teenage girl namely Nadia Akhtar Bisti (13 yrs), D/O- Lt. Abdul Kalam, Vill- Purablanchi, PO- Bisit Gas Company, PS + Distt- Fene, Bangladesh from the clutch of immoral Bangladeshi human traffickers.
According to the victim, she was taken to Ichhamati river which works as the International Boundary in that area.
While crossing the river in a small boat occupied by Mohammad Jahangir's brother-in-law of the victim, her cousin sister and some other Bangladeshi infiltrators, one of them shouted, "police-police", and on watching some patrol party the occupants jumped into the river and the boat also capsized.
Mohammad Jahangir and other relative occupying the boat escaped from the site and the girl fell in the river.
According to the Nadia, two criminals took her out from the water and brought to India side bank of the river Ichhamati to rape her.
On raising commotion, the BSF party became alert and flashed torch light towards the direction from where the shouting sound for help was coming.
The alleged rapists finding BSF alert and responding, escaped from the site towards Bangladesh but in the mean time the wearing apparel on the upper part of the body was torn which exposed her body.
The shouting voice and flashing torch prompted the helpless girl to run in the direction of the BSF Petrol Party.
The BSF patrol party received the helpless girl and respecting the honour of the girl, provided 'patka' (head scarf) to cover her body.
The party also simultaneously informed the Coy Comdr Deepak S, AC 40 Bn who reached the site with two Women BSF Constables.
One of the Women Constables provided the girl her own personal clothing.
After recovering from the shock, the girl deposed before the Reba Mondal (Female Block Pradhan of Kalitala).
Moreover, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was apprised about this incident and the victim was handed over to BGB on Wednesday at about 1400 hrs by holding a Flag Meeting between BSF BOP Angrail and 23 Border Guard Bangladesh BOP Putkhali.
