Speed up reading with this app
Slow reader and want to gain some speed? This app flashes words in quick succession on screen so the user doesn't have to move their eyes.
According to the US firm Spritz that developed the app, the technology streams individual words inside of a special display called the 'Redicle'.
This helps the eyes to position themselves precisely at the recognition point for each word.
Spritz takes eye movement out of the equation - allowing much more to be read in the same amount of time.
"This method makes communication faster, easier and more effective by removing the inefficient eye movements associated with traditional reading," Frank Waldman, CEO of Spritz, was quoted as saying.
Spritz is uniquely designed for small screens and would be soon be available in Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear 2.
During tests, it was found that new users were able to double their traditional reading speed within just a few minutes of starting.
The technology removes the inconvenience of scrolling, swiping, squinting and pinching to read on your devices by streaming individual words, one by one, at the user's desired speed.
The technology can be used to read emails, text messages, social media streams, maps or web content and can be integrated onto any mobile device, said a Daily Mail report.
