Mount Litera Zee School (MLZS) recently launched the 'Torch of Learning' here, which is an initiative to spread the message of inclusive education in India.

The initiative is based on a bus, which has a demo classroom setting as per the students' learning style.

The bus will travel across India to cover 37 cities for over 3 months to spread the message of inclusive education.

Speaking on the occasion, Ratna Lekha Shetty, Regional Schools Director said, "Zee education has a vision and a purpose. Authenticity is one of the values which are implemented strongly on children."

"We do workshops for parents, so that we can resolve the problems which parents are facing towards their children. Zee School created the 'I Care' programme which is for the children," she added.

Mount Litera Zee School (MLZS) started its 'Torch of Learning' initiative in December 2013 from Punjab.

It is a unique initiative for spreading awareness of how learning should change and the new learning methods should be implemented.

Arla Dutta, Principal MLZS, Maheshtala said that, "Zee School stresses on academics and co-curricular activities as well. We want the children to be the leaders of the 21st century."

The aim of the initiative is also to highlight the CBSE merit scholarship scheme that provides scholarships to the meritorious girl students, who are the only child of their parents.

The scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.
