Addressing a rally here, Benerjee appealed people to defeat the ruling Congress and the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

"Both the national party had looted the country and made syndicate for vote bank politics," the TMC chief said.

"People wants a change and it will happen," Banerjee said.

Speaking on the issue of land rights for the indigenous people, she said recent self-immolation incident in Guwahati 'hurt me'.

"The indigenous people of Assam have demended for land rights since decades but the state government has not interested to solve the problem and give land ownership to them," Banerjee said.

"If we come to power then we will change the land acquisition policy," she said.
