After tea, a fish stall for Modi
After tea stalls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday launched a mobile fish stall in Chennai for promoting its prime inisterial candidate Narendra Modi.
The mobile NaMo fish stall was inaugurated by senior BJP leader L Ganesan at Marina Beach.
The fish stall had a poster of Modi holding up a big fish.
"This shows we care about the fishing community, we are not just trying to get their support for the polls," BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan told NDTV.
Pertinently, there are about 10 lakh voters who are part of Tamil Nadu's fishing community.
In a bid to interact with people, Modi on Feb 12 launched the "Chai pe Charcha with NaMo'' campaign at a tea stall in Gujarat's Ahmedabad city.
The session was relayed at 1000 locations in 300 cities across the country.
Modi has often referred to his humble background while addressing rallies in the country.
"I have sold tea at the railway station and in running trains," Modi had said at a rally earlier.
